Welcome to Bolt TV. These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you("you" or "User") and Bolt TV, LLC ("Bolt TV," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and useof the Bolt TV streaming platform, including all associated features, functionalities, websites, applications, user interfaces, and all content and software provided by Bolt TV (collectively, the "Bolt TVService" or "Service"). By accessing or using the Bolt TV Service, you agree to be bound by these Termsand any other policies referenced herein. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
1. Membership and Access
1.1 Membership Requirements. To access the Bolt TV Service, you must:
(a) Have an active Internet connection and compatible device;
(b) Create a Bolt TV account ("Account"); and
(c) Provide one or more valid and accepted payment methods ("Payment Method").
You represent and warrant that all information provided to Bolt TV is accurate and complete. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your Account credentials and any activity occurring under yourAccount. Bolt TV shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of yourAccount.
1.2 Membership Continuity and Billing. Your Bolt TV membership will continue until terminated.Unless you cancel your membership before your billing cycle, you authorize Bolt TV to charge your designated Payment Method for the applicable subscription fees. We reserve the right to modify our subscription plans, pricing, and billing cycle at our discretion. We will provide reasonable notice of any changes that materially affect your subscription fees.
1.3 Third-Party Partnerships and Services. Bolt TV may offer membership plans in conjunction with third-party services and products. Bolt TV disclaims all liability arising from third-party offerings and does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or reliability of such services. Membership terms may vary depending on the plan selected and any third-party involvement. These variations will be disclosed at thetime of sign-up or through subsequent communications.
1.4 User Responsibilities and Restrictions.
Users agree to:
(a) Use the Service solely for personal, non-commercial purposes unless expressly authorized by Bolt TV;
(b) Comply with all applicable laws and regulations; and
(c) Refrain from circumventing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with security-related features of theService.
Any unauthorized use of the Bolt TV Service, including but not limited to the reproduction, distribution, or public display of content outside the terms of your membership, constitutes a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your Account and legal action.
1.5 Termination. Bolt TV reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at its sole discretion, with or without notice, for any breach of these Terms or any conduct deemed harmful to theintegrity or reputation of Bolt TV. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease,and you will not be entitled to any refunds or compensation.
2. Promotional Offers. Bolt TV ("Company") may, at its sole and absolute discretion, offer promotional offers, plans, or memberships (“Offers”) from time to time. Eligibility for such Offers is determined exclusively by the Company, which reserves the right to revoke, modify, or suspend any Offer without prior notice should it determine, in its sole judgment, that a user is ineligible or has engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise unauthorized activity. Users from households with an existing or recent Bolt TV membership may not be eligible for certain introductory Offers. In determining eligibility, the Company may consider various factors, including but not limited to, device identifiers, payment methods, and account email addresses associated with prior or current Bolt TV memberships. All eligibility criteria, limitations, and terms applicable to any Offer will be disclosed at the time of sign-up or through other communications provided by the Company.
3. Billing and Cancellation
3.1. Billing Cycle. Upon subscribing to Bolt TV, you authorize the Company to charge the applicable subscription fee and any related charges, including taxes and transaction fees, to your designated payment method ("Payment Method") on the billing date specified in your account settings. The billing cycle is determined by the subscription plan selected at the time of registration. Payment dates may be subject to change due to various factors, such as unsuccessful payment attempts, plan modifications, or billing dates falling on non-existent calendar days (e.g., February 30). In certain circumstances, the Company may pre-authorize charges up to one full billing cycle to validate your Payment Method.
3.2. Payment Methods. To access Bolt TV services, you must provide one or more valid PaymentMethods. By providing a Payment Method, you authorize the Company to charge all associated fees and expenses to the provided method(s). Should your primary Payment Method be declined or become invalid, you agree that the Company may charge any other valid Payment Method linked to your account.Failure to settle outstanding amounts may result in suspension or termination of your account. Users are responsible for any fees charged by their payment provider, including but not limited to foreign transaction fees or processing charges. Tax obligations vary depending on jurisdiction and selectedPayment Method.
3.3. Updating Payment Methods. Users may update Payment Methods through the "Account" section ofthe Bolt TV website. By updating payment information, you authorize the Company to continue charging the updated Payment Method(s) for ongoing services. The Company may, where permissible, update yourPayment Methods with information received from third-party payment processors.
3.4. Cancellation. You may cancel your Bolt TV subscription at any time through the "Account" section.Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, with no pro-rata refunds issued for partial subscription periods or unused content, except where required by applicable law. Should yousubscribe to Bolt TV through a third-party provider, you must cancel directly through that provider to avoid continued charges. Post-cancellation, you will retain service access until the conclusion of the billing period in which you canceled.
3.5. Price and Subscription Plan Modifications. Bolt TV reserves the right to modify subscription prices and service plans at its sole discretion. Any changes will be communicated to users at least thirty(30) days prior to implementation. Continued use of the service following such notice constitutesacceptance of the new terms. Should you object to the modifications, you must cancel your subscription prior to the effective date to avoid incurring the adjusted fees.
4. BOLT TV SERVICE
4.1. Eligibility. Access to the Bolt TV service is strictly limited to individuals who are at least eighteen(18) years of age or have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever isgreater. Minors may access the Bolt TV service only under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms of Use.
4.2. License and Restrictions. Subject to compliance with these Terms, Bolt TV grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access the Bolt TV service and its content solely for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not convey any right, title, or interest in any content or intellectual property, and may not be shared with individuals outside your household unless expressly permitted by your subscription plan. Unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or public performance of Bolt TV content is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of access and legal action.
4.3. Geographic Limitations: You may only access the Bolt TV service and content in jurisdictionswhere Bolt TV is authorized to operate and has obtained the necessary content licenses. Content availability varies by location and is subject to change. Use of VPNs or other methods to circumventgeographic restrictions is strictly prohibited.
4.4. Service Modifications and Testing: Bolt TV reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue any aspect of its service, including content libraries, features, and functionalities, without prior notice. We may conduct service tests to improve user experience. Participation in such tests may be controlledthrough your account settings.
4.5. Offline Access: Certain Bolt TV content may be available for temporary offline viewing on designated devices. Usage is subject to limitations including, but not limited to, device and download restrictions, viewing time frames, and geographic availability. Offline content may become inaccessible if used outside authorized territories or beyond the designated viewing period.
4.6. Prohibited Uses: You agree to use the Bolt TV service in strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Except as expressly permitted by Bolt TV, you shall not: (i) Copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, sell, or otherwise exploit Bolt TV content or service features; (ii) Bypass, disable, or interfere with any security features, digital rights management, or content protections embedded in the Bolt TV service; (iii) Deploy automated systems or software, such as bots or scrapers, to extract data or interact with the Bolt TV platform; (iv) Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Bolt TV service or its underlying software; (v)Introduce malicious code, including viruses, spyware, or any technology that disrupts or compromises the security or functionality of Bolt TV systems; (vi) Manipulate the service, content metadata, or any user interface element through unauthorized means. Violation of these provisions may result in immediate suspension or termination of service and exposure to civil or criminal liability.
4.7. Content Quality and Technical Requirements: Bolt TV strives to provide high-quality streaming but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Content quality may vary depending on device specifications, geographic location, internet connection speed, and network conditions. Minimum recommended speeds are as follows:
HD (720p or higher): 3.0 Mbps per stream
Full HD (1080p or higher): 5.0 Mbps per stream
Ultra HD (4K or higher): 15.0 Mbps per stream Users are responsible for any internet service provider charges, data usage fees, or hardware requirements necessary to access Bolt TV.
4.8. Software Usage: Bolt TV software is proprietary and provided exclusively for accessing its servicesthrough authorized devices. Software updates, including security patches and feature enhancements, maybe automatically deployed without prior notice. By using Bolt TV software, you agree to comply withapplicable third-party licensing terms. Unauthorized modification or misuse of Bolt TV software isstrictly prohibited and may result in service termination and legal consequences.
5. Passwords and Account Access. You are solely responsible for any and all activities that occur underyour Bolt TV account, regardless of whether such activities are authorized by you. By permitting others toaccess your account, including through the sharing of account credentials or devices, you acknowledgeand agree that such individuals are acting on your behalf and that you are legally bound by any actionsthey take in connection with your account. These actions may include, but are not limited to,modifications to your subscription plan, billing preferences, or account information. To maintain controlover your account and prevent unauthorized use, you are required to safeguard your account credentials,including your password and payment information. Disclosure of your account details to any third party isstrictly prohibited. Bolt TV will not be held liable for any unauthorized access or use resulting from yourfailure to maintain the confidentiality of your account information. You agree to promptly notify Bolt TVof any actual or suspected unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. You mustensure that the information provided in connection with your account remains accurate, current, andcomplete, including providing a valid email address for the delivery of account-related communications.Failure to provide or maintain accurate information may result in the suspension or termination of youraccount. Bolt TV reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to suspend, place onhold, or terminate your account in order to protect you, Bolt TV, our affiliates, or any third parties fromfraudulent, abusive, or otherwise unlawful activities, including but not limited to identity theft,unauthorized access, or payment-related fraud.
6. Warranties and Limitations on Liability. The Bolt TV service, including all content, software, andfunctionality, is provided on an "as is," "as available" basis without warranties or conditions of any kind,either express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for aparticular purpose, non-infringement, or any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.Bolt TV does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or otherharmful components. Your use of the service is at your sole risk. To the fullest extent permitted byapplicable law, Bolt TV disclaims any and all liability for damages arising from access to or use of theservice, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitivedamages, regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort—including negligence—strict liability, orotherwise), even if Bolt TV has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Notwithstanding theforegoing, Bolt TV’s total aggregate liability under these Terms of Use shall not exceed the amount youhave paid to Bolt TV in the six (6) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in theseTerms of Use shall affect any non-waivable statutory rights or consumer protections to which you may beentitled under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
7. Class Action Waiver. To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, you and Bolt TV agree thatany claims or disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use, the Bolt TV service, or any contentprovided therein shall be brought solely in your or its individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or classmember in any purported class, collective, consolidated, representative, or mass action. Class, collective,consolidated, representative, and mass action proceedings of any kind are expressly prohibited underthese Terms of Use. Furthermore, to the extent permitted by law, unless both you and Bolt TV expresslyagree in writing to the contrary, no court or arbitrator shall have the authority to consolidate the claims ofmultiple individuals, preside over any form of representative or class proceeding, or otherwise combine oraggregate similar claims. Any attempt to initiate or participate in a class action or other collectiveproceeding in violation of this provision shall be deemed a material breach of these Terms of Use, subjectto immediate dismissal and other legal remedies available to Bolt TV. This class action waiver is afundamental element of the agreement between you and Bolt TV and reflects the parties’ intent to resolvedisputes on an individual basis. If any portion of this section is found to be unenforceable or unlawful, theremainder shall continue in full force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Miscellaneous
8.1. Governing Law. These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with thelaws of the State of Texas, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Youagree that any legal proceedings arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or the Bolt TV serviceshall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you herebyirrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
8.2. Unsolicited Materials. Bolt TV maintains a strict policy against accepting unsolicited materials,including but not limited to ideas, concepts, or suggestions for content, programming, or marketingstrategies. Any unsolicited submissions shall be deemed non-confidential and non-proprietary, and BoltTV shall have no obligations, including confidentiality, with respect to such materials. Bolt TV is notliable for any use or disclosure of any unsolicited submissions and may use them for any purpose withoutcompensation to the sender.
8.3. Customer Support. For information regarding Bolt TV’s services and features, or to receiveassistance with your account, please visit the Bolt TV Help Center available at www.bolt.tv/support. Incertain situations, customer support representatives may offer remote access assistance, granting Bolt TVtemporary access to your device. Consent for such access is entirely optional, and alternative supportmethods are available. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms of Use and informationprovided by customer support or on Bolt TV’s websites, these Terms of Use shall govern and prevail.
8.4. Survival. If any provision of these Terms of Use is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable underapplicable law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalidity of anyprovision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of these Terms of Use.
8.5. Changes to Terms of Use and Assignment. Bolt TV reserves the right to modify these Terms of Useat its sole discretion. Any material changes will be communicated to you at least thirty (30) days prior totaking effect. Continued use of the Bolt TV service following notice of changes constitutes youracceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may terminate yoursubscription before the effective date of the changes. Bolt TV may assign or transfer its rights andobligations under these Terms of Use, in whole or in part, without restriction. You agree to cooperate withBolt TV in connection with any such assignment or transfer.
8.6. Electronic Communications. By using the Bolt TV service, you consent to receivingcommunications from us electronically, including notices related to your account, payment confirmations,password changes, and updates to these Terms of Use. Such communications will be delivered via emailto the address provided during registration or through other electronic means as applicable. Youacknowledge that these electronic communications satisfy any legal requirements that communications bein writing.Last Updated: February 19th, 2025
